Before we start drafting, we set the boundaries of the engagement in writing. These notes clarify what the load-bearing analysis covers, which assumptions apply, and where our responsibility ends so there is no ambiguity later.

Project Timeline: From Brief to Load-Bearing Sign-Off

A clear sequence of engineering milestones for warehouse projects, with expected durations and the deliverables you receive at each gate.

Week 1-2: Site Data and Load Brief Review

We collect geotechnical reports, column grid proposals, and intended racking loads. Our team checks the brief against Australian standard limits and flags missing parameters before any drafting begins.

Week 3-5: Preliminary Frame and Foundation Layout

Structural grid lines are set, primary steel sections are sized, and pad footing dimensions are estimated. You receive a marked-up plan showing span capacities and deflection checks for review.

Week 6-8: Load-Bearing Calculations and Peer Check

Full load paths are calculated for dead, live, wind, and seismic cases. A second engineer independently verifies the math, and any discrepancies are resolved before the drawings are finalized.

Week 9-10: Construction-Ready Blueprint Set

Final CAD drawings are issued with dimensioned sections, connection details, and reinforcement schedules. The package includes a revision log so your construction team can track every change.

Post-Issue: Site Support and Revisions

After the drawings go to tender, we remain available for contractor queries and minor field adjustments. Structural changes requested during construction are documented and re-issued within five working days.
