Engagement sequence

From initial brief to stamped drawings

Every warehouse project moves through the same controlled pipeline. The steps below show what we deliver at each stage and what we need from you to keep the schedule tight.

01 — Brief and site data review

We start with your architectural layout, geotechnical report, and proposed column grid. Within five working days we return a feasibility note covering span limits, foundation assumptions, and any conflicts between the brief and the site conditions.

02 — Load model and member sizing

Dead, live, wind, and crane loads are applied to the frame model. Primary steel members and concrete elements are sized against AS/NZS 1170 and the relevant material standards, with deflection limits checked against the cladding and racking suppliers' requirements.

03 — Preliminary drawings for client review

You receive general arrangement plans, elevation views, and a foundation layout marked with the critical load paths. This is the point where racking layout, door positions, and service penetrations are confirmed before we move into detailed documentation.

04 — Detailed CAD documentation

Connection details, reinforcement schedules, embedment plans, and steel fabrication drawings are produced to our internal CAD standard. Every sheet is checked by a second engineer before it leaves the office, so the set is consistent and construction-ready.

05 — Certification and construction support

The final package is issued with a signed statement of structural adequacy. During construction we review shop drawings, answer RFIs, and carry out site inspections at the hold points listed in the specification.
